Notes

Stepped up my EVGA 980 Ti Classified to an EVGA 1080 ACX 3.0. Put it under my Kraken X41 and see 2.2GHz/11GHz and 39C!

Got my Gigabyte 980 Ti G1 Gaming replaced, after RMAing once, when they couldn't fix the coil whine that had gotten much worse even at 60 FPS (used to be 300+ FPS). The new card has a higher ASIC than the old one, but at 72% it is still lower than my 980 Ti Classifieds - BUT it overclocks to 1500MHz on air! So I put it under my X41 AIO cooler and got it to 1580MHz stable! VRAM is a little slower as it is Crucial and not Samsung (7950 Vs 8120). I couldn't QUITE get 1600MHz stable even without a memory OC. I even tried lengthening the TDR rate in the registry but I'd just get program crashes (not BSODs!) at 1600MHz, which is surprising since I'd get the black screen of death with my Classy with pretty much any OC that it didn't like which would always require a physical restart.

The Corsair H55 started to get warmer and warmer over time with the same ambient temperature (78F), so I sent it back suspecting a slow coolant leak - I did smell a faint trace of alcohol. To replace it I got a Kraken X41 as it has a 6 year warranty, longer tubes (very nice!), larger (140mm) and thicker (36mm) radiator. I purchased two Noiseblocker eLoop B14-3 for use in push/pull (exhaust - the fan next to the case grill gets loud, similar to the 120mm version's buzzing, when set as intake) - they have similar specifications to the 120mm eLoops that I used before. New max temperature while looping Valley: 44C! Mostly it sits around 42C while gaming - much better than the 52-55C that the H55 had.

Mounting the X41 in my Fulmo GT was a bit tricky. I couldn't mount it in the back above the PCIE slots with the tubes on the bottom - the housing bulges out further and blocked me from installing my 980 Ti in the top PCIE slot. So, I had to mount it with the tubes on the top. Even by doing that there isn't a lot of space, so folks with a backplate might have an issue.

Nice setup, yet some pics of how the system is on the inside is more the idea of the MODS RIGS Project, anyone can make a photo of a computer case even an empty one and upload it make a MR page and done, not really the idea, so please add more photo's of the insides of the case, just making it more legit.

Thanks gents! I'll see about posting more pictures, yet I'm afraid I'm more of a utilitarian so they won't be super eye candy.
