Notes

This PC build was completed in March 2016 using the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX case. Improved case airflow with a rear 140mm exhaust fan and dual 140mm intake fans. Thermalright's Silver Arrow ITX is a perfect CPU heatsink cooler that doesn't block RAM. Its universal mounting system allows for 3-5mm of horizontal wiggle room. By request Thermalright sent me their new LGA1151 CPU Support Spacer (w/4 Special Mounting washers) free of charge. I didn't want to use the product case badges as normal stickers on my case. Instead I came up with the idea to make movable magnetic case badges. To avoid heavy GPU sag I made a DIY standoff support column between the PSU/GPU. My massive EVGA GeForce 980 Ti Classified graphics card sits perfectly level and sag-free. Manually XMP overclocked my i7-6700K to 4.5 GHz at 1.28V, Core/Cache Limit Max to 255.50, Min/Max Cache Ratios to 41, LLC to Level 5, and enabled Core Voltage Adaptive Mode. The XMP profile clocked my G.Skill DDR4 TridentZ memory to its rated 3200 MHz. The 12% CPU performance increase is a good 24/7 overclock using adaptive voltage. I added some PC lighting bling with a BitFenix Alchemy 2.0 Red Magnetic LED Strip. See my PCPartPicker page at https://pcpartpicker.com/b/96JV3C for more detailed info.

Nice build Congrats on a fine machine! I read that troll on over clocking being a waste of time. So funny. To each his own. I am online gamer too! But I get so caught up in over clocking sometimes that I feel like I'm gaming. It is very excited to me. I don't understand why people chime in on something they don't care about. Then make a big deal out of it. Some people think gaming is a waste of time too. Just saying. 1+ from btodd1 :D

Thanks for the +1 and motivating me to run some more benchmarks. 3DMark 11 and 3DMark Fire Strike were more fun to do than the nerve-wracking stress tests for determining CPU overclock stability at the lowest Vcore voltage and temperatures.

I re-tested and posted new results. I had Vsync on before and it limited my FPS to 60 and thus lower results than expected.

Someone in a PC group on Facebook said I have a low Fire Strike score. My ambient living room room temperature was 75.8F during the tests this morning if that's a factor, and that's with a dining room window A/C unit on set to 70F.

Nice component selection. Just add some benchmark scores to qualify for the $1,000 sponsorship and I will give you your first +1.
