Notes

I'm treating this build as a swan song to the X79 Platform. Started with an Open Box, SEVERELY misused x79 Dark I found for peanuts. Previous owner was an idiot. CPU pins were bent, Mobo mounting points nearly ground to dust. Build quality of the board is seriously impressive, machine posted and has been stable as a rock in benching, despite mentioned issues. EVGA was kind enough to send my I/O shield for free (woot!), and while it still doesnt have that badass x79Dark shroud, I'll live for now. With a little bit of TLC and an awful lot of OCD, its purring like a kitten.

Future plans - Red G2 sleeving kit, one more 980, swap out the 16GB Mushkin for 32GB Dominator Platinums, and upgrade to 4930k. Will eventually move my 4x2tb raid 5 array into the tower as well. Also some sound proofing to cover the unused space the the 100i radiator doesn't take up.

GeekBench SC/MC: 3780/15804
