Notes

This is currently a work in progress.

I wanted to silence my EVGA Hadron Air as the psu fan was making too much noise for my liking. My aim was to fit a regular ATX PSU in the case without compromising GPU space. I had attempted the mod previously with a Corsair AX760 which worked great. The only problem was it was a fraction too long and would impede the GPU, especially with the modular cables. This was not a problem with my R9 270 that I had at the time as it was a shorter card but I knew I was going to be upgrading to something much more powerful ( and bigger ).

Anyway I took it out and sold a lot of my parts as I was going travelling. Whilst travelling I read about the Hadron Mod contest and as soon as I got back home I set about rebuilding it (only got back on 21.8.14 ). This is why I have no dedicated GPU right now. Waiting on the 880 announcement before I buy anything  (which incidentally is really testing my patience! ).

I have put in a Cooler Master V650 PSU which is semi modular and only 140mm in length. The fan is on all the time but it is silent! Hoorah!

Thanks 4RTEX. Yeah well I figured either I get the 880 or hopefully get a good deal on a 780.

I was going to wait for 880 but I may not necessary be that much faster from 780ti. Let's wait and see. Good project! +1
