It's been over a year since I was able to build another power house desktop. All my previous builds were ATX or even E-ATX and the cases were all huge. I did really enjoy the Corsair 800D, but this time I wanted something in a much smaller form factor. I spent a great deal of time researching cases. Far more, than I spent on any of the other components for my new desktop. I was just about the pull the trigger on the SilverStone FT03 Mini, until someone on another forum showed me the CaseLabs Mercury S3. It is a bit larger, but the layout is amazing. The other thing that sets this case apart from the rest is fit and finish. It's perfect. There were a few downsides, however. The Price is pretty steep, there are no fans, and no fan filters. Luckily another company makes a front fan filter for this very case. So main problem was solved. The build went smoothly, however I do still want to get a few more parts for her. I had to return my Evga 780 SC ACX and this time around I went with the Asus DCUIIOC 780. They perform nearly the same with my ACX edging out the Asus by about 3FPS in all games when both were at max OC. Unfortunately, the fans on my Evga started making a lot of noises and then coil whine on top of that. The Asus is dead silent and quite a bit cooler, so I think that's a fair trade off for 3 FPS. Anyways, hope y'all like my build! Comment and you are more than welcome to give me some tips or build advice since I plan to continue modding it.
