Update 8/17/2015
Recently was forced to upgrade to a new platform as the old P67 FTW was starting to have issues. My dilemma was either wait a week for Skylake to hit & maybe find a motherboard I liked, along with buying new RAM, or grab a Z97 Classified at just $200! and get a 4690K at a decent discount as-well & not have to buy new RAM. Choice was easy as I didn't have the patience to wait over a week lol & I got a top tier motherboard at a super tasty price! Also ditched my Lian-Li case for a Corsair 750D as I needed the extra room as so the power connector wouldn't be crimped. Overall I am happy with the forced upgrade. Seeing 10-15% performance gains across most all games. sometimes more, sometimes less. Either way a little bit a fresh air for the 970's!
