I don't really know if it does cause I don't have another 680 to compare, but I can say the it's really cool; 27ºC idle, fan at 30% and 20ºC ambient temperature. It's quite cool on load aswell, and the fan is extremely silent. Also thanks for the +1's.

+1 for you. You'd notice a performance increase if you had an SSD or even a WD blue or black HD for your os instead of those Greens. I know this from experience. They make great data drives but don't do so well for operating systems. And now I see your notes that an SSD is incoming. Hope you get it soon you'll love it.
