Notes

I've built plenty of computers for work, but this is the first time I've built a computer for myself. I wanted to get a nice gaming rig. It's been nearly a ten-year dream of mine, but unfortunately life always got in the way and never had the chance. Now that I've got a good, stable job and steady income I finally got the chance! The goal was to build a good rig that can handle most games decently and keep it approximately $1000 7/28/11 Ordered most of the parts needed. Already recieved my case. Got an Antec One Hundred. Wonderful looking thing. Simple, to the point, sturdy, handsome, no annoying looking LED's, plenty of cooling and great Antec build quality. 8/1/11 Recieved the Motherboard, Optical Drive and RAM. I'm getting anxious over here. They're just sitting there in the box waiting for the rest of the parts to arrive. They should be here sometime this week. Will be ordering the Graphics Card soon, I don't know how long I'll be able to hold out on Integrated Graphics. XD Contemplating on getting a 30 GB SSD for using Intel SRT. Will post pics later. 8/3/11 Got the CPU Cooler, HDD and PSU. Now I'm just waiting for the Processor. 8/4/11 Got the CPU! Intel Core i5 2500K! Gonna start building once I get home. Soon I'll be getting a discreet Video Card. Planning on a EVGA SuperClocked GTX 560 ti 8/15/11 Have the system running beautifully thus far, but today I finally got my GTX560Ti SC. MASSIVE improvement over onboard graphics. I was left in absolute awe. :D So now, it's finally complete. At least the construction. Later on, I'll work on OC'ing it. Overall, I love how it came out. Simple, to the point looks and killer performance. Updates on this build can be viewed here: http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=1178352
