Notes

I orig specd this rig for the NZXT aluminum fan controller/monitor. It was so flaky I threw it out after 4mos. It left a lot of unused case space, but eventually I used that space to add fans (80mm drive bay fans). Orig cooler was Zalman CNPS9900 LED, then Megahalems on EVGA E758 X58 SLI i7-920/960; now H100 on i7-3930K (X79). I have not benchmarked my latest build iteration yet. Original build was i7-920 and Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 memory. I also renamed it "Adam" bc I took many parts out to build my wife's rig, "Eve".

35 mm fan did not do anything. But now dual 60mm fans stopped my VRM downclocking - so far. The temperature disparity between my CPU cores dropped from 10-11*C to 8-9*C when I rotated my H100 block. Much better.

Rotated H100 block and cleaned the radiator and fan intakes. Pic #6 is updated. Trying 35mm fan on VRM.

Took one 7870 out and gave it to my wife (rig: Eve). Don't know if I will bother updating pics.

Gave my wife the Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium Fata1ity Pro and installed Auzen Bravura 7.1 in it's place. I think she got the better end of that deal. I was hoping it would have updated drivers for new OSes unlike Creative cards. Well the new card uses CREATIVE software!!!!! Live and learn. Not only that, but makes tiny pops and snaps when I click on stuff in MS Office apps, not like a sound, like static noise! I can turn the volume down, but still: Soundblaster > Auzen.

My OMNIVS1500XL UPS died, quit working when the power went out. It was 8 years old, so I can't complain, now I am using the slightly cheaper OMNIVS1500 (doesn't have the extra battery add-on capability). It is also quieter, the other one had a (quiet) fan. Tried replacing the batteries first, but it was in vain. Oh well, I guess I have spare batteries for my new UPS now.

I bumped my OC down to 4.4GHz (44 turbo multi) due to BSOD every few weeks @4.6. Now it is 100% stable, feels nice.

Wow, a humble thank you for the compliment, Aud1oMed1aMa5ta. Actually if it were that awesome I would have W/C or exotic cooling - but I prefer the lesser maintenance and easier modifications of the present setup - it's just easier to work with. Again, I really love the HAF 932 and wouldn't want anything else, except the 932 advanced that has USB 3.0 FP. It just got more awesome, as I updated my twin 5850s W/7870s. And added MANY fans as the MSI Twin frozers dump all the hot air into the case as opposed to the other (models) that exhaust a great portion out the rear. Took out the 110cfm side fan and replaced W/4 excaliburs 86cfm ea. Also replaced my Mushkin Redline ridgeback 1600s W/1866 G.Skill Ripjaws Z Series 4x4GB as my wife's computer needed replacement mem.

Wow Man, could have guessed that your rig would be as awesome as your wisdom and advice! Hey we have a lot in common, well the HAF 932 anyway lol! I am going to be stripping my 932 apart and have the interior paint job sandblasted and get my friends at Line-X to spray the inside with their Kevlar based product it even comes in colors too. And since the government uses it on military vehicles, and even the exterior walls of the pentagon as well as 12 feet of every exterior adjoining walls for protection from explosions I would imagine it has an element of sound insulation not mention the strength factor. So Once I get the interior sprayed out I will take some sound samples before and after as well as pictures too to see if it helps with sound dampening. And if the chip ever decided to blow the box will contain any flying fragments lol. +1 Man, but really I didn't expect anything less from a master like you!
