Notes

The idea for this machine was to put something together that was supremely functional with just the lightest touch of gamer flash. Stability and long term reliability are driving factors for this build leading to choices to go with very gentle CPU and RAM clock speeds that allow voltages well within the envelope set by Intel and others. Cooling is enhanced by two primary build choices, the first being use of the Silverstone Raven RV02-BW case which uses a rotated mainboard design that allows heat to naturally aspirate out of the top of the case and 3 fans in the bottom to assist in providing full-case airflow. The second choice is using a monster Noctua NH-D14 for air cooling the CPU to avoid the mess and maintenance associated with liquid based coolers.
